Welcome to the Kanapaha Music Website! This website was designed our to give you, the viewer, the most up-to-date information on our spectacular music program. The “News & Upcoming Events” section below informs our parents and community of our upcoming concerts, fundraisers, field trips, and other musical events. To the left you will find links to our “Class” pages that contain important student resources such as class expectations, homework, worksheets, and rehearsals. | • | Kanapaha Open House Last Thursday's Open House was a success! A big thank you goes out to all parents who attended the Band Booster Meeting. For those parents who were unable to attend, here are the Notes from Booster Meeting #1. |
| • | Entertainment Book Fundraiser Ends This Thursday! The Entertainment Book fundraiser that began during the first week of school will end on Thursday, September 15th. Please be sure to return all entertainment book samples and all monies collected to Mrs. Merrill on this day. |
| • | FairShare Fee Schedule As mentioned at the Band Booster meeting last week, the FairShare fee helps cover the band's operational expenses that are not covered by the county. This year's FairShare fee is $100 (which covers your child's SmartMusic subscription and their band t-shirt). The payment schedule is as follows: Payment 1 ($25): Due Friday, September 16 Payment 2 ($25): Due Friday, September 30 Payment 3 ($25): Due Friday, October 14 Payment 4 ($25): Due Friday, November 11 If you would like, you may opt to pay the entire FairShare in one payment by September 30th. If you need to make other payment arrangements, please contact our Booster Treasurer, Alison Merrill. |
| • | All-State Auditions This Saturday All-State auditions will be held on Saturday, September 17th at Buchholz High School. For students auditioning, your audition times have been emailed (to your parents) by Mr. McNeill. Please plan on being at Buchholz at least 1 hour prior to your audition time. |
| • | Band Homework Please be sure to check your class page every night for homework assignments. To get to your class page, click on "Ensembles" on the menu to the left, then click on your class, and then click on "Homework Page". |
